Fatima City

I am so baffled ya Ilahy...I am gonna go nuts if I don't find out soon..read on to see what happened.. I think this is going to be the longest post in this blog..

Just yesterday morning (Saturday), as I was reading through the arabic newspaper (we recieve this every weekened) I was held at a complete astonishment when I read that there's a city in "Portugal" called "The City of Fatima" or "Fatima city". This place is actually some sort of a pilgrimage site where flockings of portugese go there to seek intercession and prayers from Lady Fatima Al Zahra (AS). The more exciting thing about it is the story itself, of how the city's name got derived ,etc. In brief, what was written in the papers is that..there were those three li'l shepherds (two girls and one boy-see pic above) who have met this great Lady named "Fatima". They also described her with the name of Lady of masba7a/rosary beads...and added that she was the daughter of Prophet of Islam. In the year of 1916, and that was prior to the year of meeting of Fatima (AS)-1917 that is, they met an Angel who have told them some words repeatedly for three successive times(came two times during the summer and once during autumn) .. somewhere along these line " Don't be afraid as I am the Angel of Peace..O Allah, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love Thee! I beg pardon of Thee for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love Thee!"and each time he comes, they had to sacrifice something (as in a sheep/goat/etc) and pray and repent for the sinnners..etc etc. That was all a preparation for them to meet Fatima (AS). On May 13th, 1917 ..and in 2 strikes of beam lights , appeared on an olive tree,a Seyyeda whose noor is brighter than the sun..This Lady was called "Fatima" (Salawat 3ala Muhammad wa A'li Muhammad).
Fatima (AS) said: don't be scared....I don't want to scare you.
The children : who are you?!
Fatima (AS): I am Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet( meaning prophet Muhammad SAW).
The children: where did you come from??
Fatima (AS): from Heaven.
THe children: what do you want from us?
Fatima (AS): I came here to ask you to come next time as well to this same place so that I could tell you what exactly I want from you.

And so this Lady of misba7a came everymonth following the month of May, up until October. (Dunno what Lady Fatima (AS) actually told them) ...Then the last meeting approached and that's when the miracle had happened. Infront of appx. 70,000 people watching, the Lady of misba7a rotated the sun in the liver of the sky...then stopped it, then rotated it again and once again stopped it, until people were thinking that the sky is gonna fall over them...Then She (AS) returned the sun to where it was, warm and illuminating. From thereon, it became a sacred site for pilgrims (CATHOLIC ones) to come and request their needs from the Lady of misba7a Fatima Al Zahra (AS).

INTERESTING ISN'T IT?????? Well "I" I haven't heard of it before...so yeah you can tell why I am so excited.

BUT, we're not even through the main issue here...That was all some introductory stuff :P
So I went on google to check on the English stuff and see how valid it is (ofcourse it was valid/atleast I thought so, but was thirsty for more info ..pictures, etc. Guess what I found. They identified this Lady as Virgin Mary (AS).

How did the name of the city got derived?

Ironically, one of the most famous Christian towns in the world has a popular Muslim name - Fatima was the name of the daughter of Mohammed, the prophet of Islam. The town of Fatima is named after a Moorish girl who lived in Ourem, 10km (6 miles) northeast of Fatima, who fell in love with a Christian knight and converted.

and this was not only on this website...many others confirmed it too.

Why is this? What's true? Which one should I believe in...I am completely lost in despair now...I really need to find out soon...Last night I was going wild on google...until I gave up and headed to sleep...I just wanted one single site that confirmed what was written on the paper...Could they be wrong? but no..my heart says otherwise...I think "they" made all these deceptions to take the people away from knowing the greatness of the noble daughter of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). But I can't say this for sure...I have to ask and investigate...

*sigh*
p.s Some websites that are somewhat similar to what I read in the paper:

On the other hand, Brazil is knocked out of the WC. just terrific...*sigh*
It was too soon ya Rubby...yeah but they sucked during this last match...

well better luck next WC...oh well...

I am out...

yeah me again lol

from what i read the fatima city use to be for muslims but then the christians took over the fatima city....hmmmm from what i believe is tht the lady was lady fatima(As) not lady mary(As) the christians might of changed it to being mary...not sure thought but from what i read so far thts how i see it.. Allah knows

masalama

Waalaikum assalam

heyyy najafeah!!!sharrafteena wallah :D

You know what I read? I read that it is the Chritians who lived there first, then Muslims came and took over  lol espect everything on the net..I am guessing like in Spain...But then yes, as of currently, it's a christinas land and they go there quite frequently...
Anyhow, I asked some people and they said that yes Allahu A3lam and He knows best who was the Lady who descended to Earth in such a glorifying manner. Yet, I still see some contradictions...why is the city called by the name of Fatima? was this so-called Moorish girl so important? I dunno..truly Allah knows best.

Thanks for dropping by sisooo ^-^
lots of love

Salam Alaikum,

You've finally updated! :D

A few years back they showed a whole documentary on this basis on iran tv, and I watched it there. There is nothing much to be amazed, Sayeda Fatima (as) was always 'The chief of All Women'

Who ever calls onto her holiness, with a broken heart, surely she'll answer. Be it a muslim, or a christian. Just to let you know, they have also named a church on her name where they have placed statues assuming to be the replica's of Sayeda Fatima (as). This is the only part of the whole documentary that did not appeal me.

Among the little girls, the eldest one dies earliest (I think ... ). This again foretold by Sayeda Fatima (as). She comforts the little girl that very soon she'll come to the heaven.

With regards,
ps. Hopefully you're exams went well ;)

ws wr wb Mimiii :D

hehe..yes, I am quite a lazy person when it comes to blogging..now that I have hol's, it'll get more exciting insh'Allah :D Alhamdullilah my results are all good...though a li'l disappointed with chemistry's :/. I am thinking of changing schools anyway...those teachers..arghh..

to the topic @hand: Lucky you!!I was told to get this documentry too..maybe it's a diff.one, but insh'Allah I'll get my hands on it someday hopefully.
I saw the pictures and I was disappointed too with all the statues and whatnot..but you see, WHY did they call the church by the name of Fatima? They should get their facts right <_<

Peace and Blessings be upon the Mistress of All Women..

Salaam,

..but you see, WHY did they call the church by the name of Fatima? They should get their facts right <_<

Sister, I still don't see why this should be a matter of concern. Correct me if I'm wrong; you feel it's unjustified to have Sayeda Al-Zahra's holy name as a title for a church ... is this so?

Allow me to briefly summarise a tradition spoken of in Bihar Al Anwar:

The holy Prophet had once told Al-Zahra (as) that the difference between you and Maryam (sa) is that she were the chief of the women of her time and you are the chief of the women from the first till the last. Hence Al-Zahra (as) is not just our lady but an ideal role model for all the women around the world.

You may find this point interesting ... I have heard of some christians who have named their daughters Fatima. This is infact a matter of pride for me who regard myself a slave of her holiness!

Would love to hear from you soon :)
Wassalam.

SALAM!!

OMG I JUST SAW YOUR REPLY !!!!:O *blush*

I think you misunderstood me hun!! What I was trying to say is that in spite of the CLEAR and "explicit" evidence presented before them-i.e. the "Lady of Masba7a".. what does that indicate? remember: tasbeehat Al Zahra that we do after every prayer, the name of the "church", the name of the city itself, etc .I mean it ALL indicates that it's indeeeeed without a shread of doubt that this is the Chief of All Women- Fatima Al Zahra (may peace and blessings be upon her and her blessed progeny)!!YET they deny that! and try to fabricate the story as much as they want. Just like in the Bible! That's basically what I meant by "they must get their facts right", and try not to deceive their people with their endless forgeries! ugh.

Moreoever, since when did the name Fatima become Maryam?

No wallah, verily the truth is blemished, and that's just another way to delude the people from the karamat/divine favours and the special status of the darling daughter of the Prophet of "Islam" which most Vatican popes and saints do not approve of!

There's also another interesting fact I found recently in which that the appearance of Sayyida Fatima (AS) in Europe and specifically near the Bermuda area (I've heard many stories regarding Imam AL Hujja(AJF)in that area-can't verify) will aid the understanding of the Imam's mission (thru Europe) in his re-appearance insh'Allah, as he is a descendant of Fatima (may my soul be sacrificed for them).

I made it long *blush* hehe...but insh'Allah I got my point across...surely she (AS) is the Lady of All Women from the first till the end...and may we all continue to be the Fatimiyat Al Mo'minaat following her example in all our actions. Ameen.

Nice hearing fromy you and I apologize again if I haven't replied any earlier :( I just saw it.

Take good care ^_^...mwaaaah

Salam Alaikum,

Insha'Allah you're doing well.

Thankyou for the rapid notification, lol.

I agree with you on that point. This just shows that the light of guidance is universal, just as Allah and His Prophet are.
This is the short-coming from our side that we cannot due to some reasons follow and accept the Prophet (saw) and his progeny as our true guide. Noor, I'm pleased to have heard about your views on this matter.

The Bermuda Triangle ... I love to hear more details about it. Insha'Allah I'll try to post some notes on this topic someday! Ofcourse not anytime soon ... I've got so much to do! :/

may we all continue to be the Fatimiyat Al Mo'minaat following her example in all our actions. Ameen.

Lovely prayer Noor. Ameen.

Oh and you don't need to apologise so much.

Ps. I've put up one of my favorite nasheeds on my blog.. I'm sure you would love it too :D

Wassalam.

Salaaam

hehe..well I thought you were awaiting my response and I being the slow checker on everything haven't noticed it until much later. lol

Anyway, yes I heard quite a number of stories going on concerning the "Jazeera Al Khadra"/ The Green Island meaning Bermuda Triangle in which Imam Al Mahdi (AJF) and his sons are currently residing in. It was first reported by Allama Majlisi in Bihar al Anwar then a few other shia scholars have also reported it, but then you have many others opposed it such as Sayyid Muhammad Al Sadr and Al A'meli ..etc. You never know..It's kind of interesting though..makes you ponder..

I didn't find that many links around but here's one that might be of a use:
http://www.baabeilm.org/infallibles/mehdi/bermuda
_triangle1.asp

There's a book called "When the time comes" which I am longin to read along that of Al Jazeera Al Khadra one that mention a lot of stuff about these theories. I love researching into these stuff..but ahh...so much to do, yet so little time.

oh and yes, I LOVE everything you put there...your taste is my taste ;)

love ya loads
