NEVER leave things to the last minute!

LOL...This past week was just funny outright...It was the week right after the March break. So we were supposed to prepare a "play" to present to the class after the holidays, for an English presentation, in a group that is, and focusing mainly on the concept of Creation. The pres. was due on the second day we come back to school (i.e Tuesday). We had each other's emails/phone numbers..etc etc to make sure that we do contact each other effectively and try to come up with plans and ideas for our pres. and so that we can get it over with. So the first half of the week passes...3/4 of the week passes and still nothing and I am still somewhat vexed. Friday, I decided to call my friend finally and see what we can come up with. We talked and talked and talked but ended up scratching our heads. However, we settled on the next day to be On Line on msn, including the other two members and so we'd actually do look like we've done something on the holidays.
Saturday comes and I am awfully busy, cleaning, guests..etc and it was the evening of the commemoration of Arbaeen as well (It was on Monday, but we do it earlier due to school, work etc). So we went to the Hussayniya and stayed there up to midnight. Ya mama! one day and we're off to school and we haven't done a single thing! So annoying when you think about that! ugh..anyways, so Sunday passes as well, and I was still trying to maintain my tranquillity trying not to sound so irritated but was preparing for my quarrel on Monday with the rest of the group. (partly my fault too..hehe). I went on msn but there were merely one or two people on. Sunday night: I happen to stay a little late..it was about past midnight that night, and I unintentionally just signed on msn, and BINGO! ALL OF US WERE ONLINE...OMG, and they were all like "YES FINALLY...LET'S DISCUSS WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO TOMORROW!!" me * staring unbelievably* wow...what a liable responsible group. Sunday night! ROFL. So we discussed a few things, and I was picked to be "Eve" and the "angel" awww...lol..
We were going to only focus on the "creation of man" part (well our group was) and so we chose to do a play..yayyy...anyway, Monday morning, picking our names from the hat; turned out that our pres. is gonna be on Wed. not Tues. Alhamdulliah, so we still got time. The following was planned: come at lunch to practice; tuesday during lunch too, and afterschool; and wednesday morning. MY...what a havoc...and applauds go to my group members for coming half an hour late for each and every rehearsal..*roll eyes* . though, it was a total CRACK in each and every scene...LOL anyways, so the day finally arrives; and I got hold of my lil sis's butterfly-costume wings *hehehe* to resemble the angel ...lol.. and we actually did it! IT was perfect and very well thought-out as stated by our teacher! (Except that the apple fell from the person's hands who was supposed to be a "tree"and we actually had to go and get it...LOL..quite embarrassing)..we BETTER get A+ at it!!!! don't know the mark yet :(...
ANYWAYSSS...my point is...WORKING WITH GROUPS SUCK!!!!and leaving things till the last minute sucks tooooo!!! Be efficient and take responsibility is the key to success and better achievements (despite the fact that we had things done in the last minute, we somehow overcame our obstacles :P) for the future. :)

That was an essay....I wish I could've all those ideas rushing in my mind when I actually do write a real essay :/ alright bloggy, time to go!

Random!

Uff...Finally this thing worked. The server interfered its "re-filing and construction" thing just as I have just started posting in my blog. *roll eyes* Anyway..
So I am debating with this sunni friend of mine (sending emails to each other-lol we don't even have time to actually debate it in school) and to be honest, it's a total waste of time. You have provided facts, narrations from "their" books, evidence from the Quran, and I swear it's crystal clear, but they still revolve and twist around with the words without coming up with a useful thing. Giving me lengthy copy/paste stuff about "their" biography and how "knowledgable" they were is not gonna get them anywhere. Why are they so ignorant? Why do they try not to accept the truth? Although we've only just touched the "Imam's intercession" part and Aisha's (and 7afsah) status among the other wives topic(OMG, don't get me started, because I think I've worked up a sweat on this...and if she carries on with all this praising without grasping what I have provided and barked at, I'll have a heart failure by then) We'll insh'Allah continue covering the most important issues, and most surely, the main topic, the Imamat (Caliphate) of the Commander of the Faithful Ameerul Mo'mineen Ali(Alayhe Assalam) . Please do keep in your prayers..Insh'Allah I'll keep you updated. BTW, I am not that professional or that sort of a nerdy who knows everything, lol, you see me writing in capitals and bolding at this and that...the girl is gonna freak out. LOL..It's also due to....
The most outstanding superb brilliant and well-know speaker, Seyyid Ammar Al Nakshawani's lectures *woohoo*. It helped A LOT, and when I say alot, yes it means a lot. Let me touch a few of the many characterisitics about this great speaker. He's Mash'Allah very dynamic and keeps your attention throughout the whole lecture; his ideas are like a chain of thoughts running that never stops to see what the next station is (his next thought in other words), very analytical and straight to the point. The ahadith and the stories he brings along are tremendously inspiring and very educational Mash'Allah. I am gonna cry now lol. You should all listen to his lectures. Not to forget Seyyid Mahdi Al Moderresi as well...one of the excllent speakers....Very knowledgable and his lectures are simply amazing. I so benefited a lot from them.I'll post up some of their most inspiring lectures in a new post insh'Allah. LOL I was actually going to put all this as a separate post, but you know how it is, one thing pulls the other, and it's all connected lol.:/

Cont...to my previous post

*sniffs*
May Allah (SWT) grant us Ziyarat Saheb Al Wala' Al Abbas (AS) and Seyyid Al Shuhada' Al Hussain (AS) and to all the shrines of the Blessed Progeny (AS).

Don't you just feel like leaping onto the pictures?

Those pictures are just too magnificent to keep to myself. Breathtaking wallah. Images taken from different angles of Abal Fathl Al Abbas's (AS) tomb in Karbala.

My BLOG!

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu alaikum!!

And Lo and Behold...my precious blog is finally here!! (to be honest, I've made one previously, quite a while now, and it had only one post..tsk..tsk..Now that I've forgotten the URL + nick, and the pass. I decided with the encouragement of a very dear friend of mine to creating a new one!
Anyways, I had spent almost all my day thinking about the name of my blog...I didn't know how to phrase it, "Striving for Knowledge" seems a little boring, well at least to me. "Striving for Perfection" was another alternative, but it's a little exaggerated, since we can not exactly reach the level of perfectionism, however, we can atleast try our best to keep our Glorious Allah pleased and satisfied with our actions. I dunno, I think I am happy with the verse I chose, nevertheless, your opinion is needed tooo!! Do tell me if I need to change it! :)

Now I need some time to explore and investigate how this blog works. I hate the banner too. I'll leave you with only a few out of the manyyy enlightening words of wisdom of Imam Ali (AS)...those are short but meaningful!

* Books are the gardens of the learned.

* A wise man first thinks and then speaks and a fool speaks first and then
thinks.

*The sin which makes you sad and repentant is more liked by Allah than the
good deed which turns you arrogant.

*Lack of friends means, stranger in one's own country.

*Knowledge and wisdom are really the privilege of a faithful Muslim. If you
have lost them, get them back even though you may have to get them from the
apostates.

until then, take care!
Wassalam
